What is your role at Aqueous and what does that involve on a day-to-day basis?
Here at Aqueous, I work as a digital marketing analyst as part of the tech team.
My days can be very varied, as my customers are generally at all different stages with their SEO strategy. Activities range from uploading content, making technical checks and fixes, discussing progress directly with customers and carrying out in-depth research into each of their specialist fields.
Tell us a about yourself?
I’m a 24-year-old fella from Chester. After I graduated high-school, I decided to learn more about the digital world and followed a course on software development at West Cheshire College which got me into university. I then studied computer science at Lancaster University for 3 years where I learned a substantial amount.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
I’m quite an active person, and get a lot of enjoyment from exercise, whether it be lifting weights at the gym or running around Chester. Running is something I picked up over lockdown and I now go on regular 5-10km runs each week. Other downtime activity I enjoy, is online gaming and being in a social environment with friends.
Who inspires you and why?
Not the usual celebrity or footballer, if anyone, it would have to be my father – as he’s shown me that patience is always an answer, and the way he’s been living and working day-in-day out for nearly 40 years, sets a good example to me.
What’s the best thing about working at Aqueous?
Honestly, it would have to be the trust factor. When you know that each of us are all working with the same drive, it’s like cogs in a machine, where everyone has their part to play.
Are there any interesting facts about you people might not be aware of?
I’ve managed to run 10km in 50 minutes! I’ve achieved a black belt in jujitsu. I lost 3 stone over last year and finally because I’m tall, it takes an awful lot to get me tipsy!
