What is your role at Aqueous and what does that involve on a day-to-day basis?
I’m Sales Director and manage the whole sales operation for the business. Selling new business is also a huge part of my role. I also contribute to the overall strategic planning for Aqueous.
Tell us about yourself?
I’m 43 years of age, and I’ve been married to Kelly for 15 years. I’m an avid Man Utd fan (season ticket holder) who also attends vast majority of away games both domestically and abroad. Qualified, but inactive football coach, as I prefer to watch my two lads (Callum, 13 and Zac, 10) play than coach, so I can concentrate my efforts and focus on helping improve them.
What do you do for fun outside of work?
I run 10km 6-7 nights per week and enjoy gym work and holidaying in my apartment on Murcia, Spain. I also enjoy regular trips to both my local pub and into the restaurants and bars of Warrington’s Cultural Quarter when myself and Kelly can get a night away from the kids.
Who inspires you and why?
Sir Alex Ferguson. His passion and drive to be the best at everything he did was truly amazing. He didn’t care who got in his way of achieving his quest and took no nonsense regardless who it was from, his best player or the kit man. If they weren’t with him, they were gone. Simple.
What’s the best thing about working at Aqueous?
Being an integral part of something that is amazing and helping drive the business from strength-to-strength as a director. It’s fantastic to see just how much the business cares for its staff and customers.
Are there any interesting facts about you people might not be aware of?
I once played against the class of ’92 Manchester United team when I was a full-time footballer at Chester City FC, featuring Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Nicky Butt and David Beckham. I was also part of the same Liverpool FC youth team as Jamie Carragher.
